Day 1 — Giza & the Grand Egyptian Museum

From Giza, it's a short hop to the Grand Egyptian Museum; plan a late lunch nearby and spend your afternoon in GEM's galleries, including the Tutankhamun collection. This is a full, sight-heavy day — an early start pays off.
Day 2 — Islamic Cairo & Khan el-Khalili
Spend the morning at the Cairo Citadel and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, then work your way down through Islamic Cairo's mosques and madrasas along Al-Muizz Street toward Khan el-Khalili. Save the bazaar itself for the afternoon into early evening, when it's liveliest, with a stop at El Fishawy coffeehouse along the way.
Day 3 — Egyptian Museum & the Nile
Spend the morning at the Egyptian Museum on Tahrir Square, then use the afternoon to explore Zamalek or Downtown on foot — galleries, cafes, the Cairo Tower if you want a panoramic view. In the evening, book a felucca ride on the Nile, a relaxed, low-key way to close out the trip.
